Beck Campbell Beymer was born 4 weeks early on December 8th, 2015 to Blake & Jill Beymer. He was taken to the NICU with respiratory distress. The NICU nurses took phenomenal care of Beck. We are truly blessed to have high quality care for newborns right here in southwest Kansas!
Most people don't think much about the NICU until they have a baby that needs it. Charlie was born by C-section on January 19th, 2011 after his mom slipped on the ice and fell right on her belly. Charlie wasn't crying when he was born and needed some extra help with his little lungs. The Unger's thank God for the wonderful care "Charlie Bear" received at SCH.
Our SWKS Pro-Am has been raising funds for the NICU for 41 years and James Irsik needed the services of the NICU 40 years ago. James was born to Kevin & Sherry Irsik on April 10th, 1981 but stayed in the NICU for 4 weeks and received wonderful care from Dr. Meyers and his team of nurses. Sherry finally got to hold James on Easter Sun
Beckett Cameron Mies was born on January 28th, 2019 and everything seemed fine at first but about an hour after he was born, his dad was holding him and he started to turn blue and was cold to the touch. He spent 5 days in the NICU and is now a wild 2 year old. The Mies family is so grateful for the doctors and nurses at SCH that took such great care of him.
